Toilet booth inaugurated in Peoli Phukan Stadium, Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, Sept 16: Topon Kumar Gogoi, MP, Jorhat Parliamentary Constituency on Friday inaugurated a toilet booth in Peoli Phukan Stadium Sivasagar for which he had donated Rs 10 lakh from his MPLAD fund.
In the meeting, the MP said that he has been actively associated with all the sports organisations in Sivasagar and Charaideo as a sports enthusiast and will continue to extend all possible help towards the development of sports in the region.
Punaram Mili, president, Sivasagar Sports Association (SSA), thanked the MP and said that the association will continue to ask for his advice and suggestions whenever needed.
Manoj Bhagawati, general secretary, SSA, briefed the MP on the ongoing infrastructure development works in the stadium with the Rs 5 crore awarded by the former Tarun Gogoi ministry at the behest of the then AICC president Anjan Dutta who was also the president of the Sivasagar Sports Association. Sarat Hazarika, assistant secretary, SSA, delivered the welcome address.
