Governor Mukhi launches blood donation drive in Raj Bhavan on PM Modi’s birthday

GUWAHATI, Sept 18: Raj Bhavan, Assam in association with Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, launched a blood donation drive at Raj Bhavan campus here on Saturday.
Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi on the occasion thanked and congratulated all the leaders and youth of the Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad for organising the blood donation camp synchronising with the birthday of the Prime Minister.
“Such an endeavour is really a fitting recognition to the Prime Minister who has been tirelessly working for the uplift of all sections of the people of the country,” the Governor added. He also said that such a drive would generate awareness in the society about the need for blood donation and the health benefits of donating blood. The Governor also thanked the blood donors who have come forward to donate blood to help those who need it for a lease of life.
The Governor also appealed to all to come forward and donate blood for it is the greatest sacrifice one can make to give life to someone who really needs it. It is a noble gesture which enhances the sense of pride in a person.
The blood donation camp witnessed active participation from the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan along with the members of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad.
