Public representatives of Binakanandi Development Block submit memorandum to Hojai DC

NAGAON, Oct 6: The public representatives under Binakanandi Development Block in Hojai district filed a memorandum to the deputy commissioner, Hojai recently for taking lawful action against a section of social media users who allegedly shared some derogatory remarks on the activities of the public representatives as well as the BDO of the block in social media and some other unofficial portals for their vested interests.
In the memorandum, the public representatives claimed that by sharing baseless claims as well as remarks in social media, some people in vested interests are allegedly trying to taint the image of the block development officer of the block. Hence, they are seeking a neutral probe in this regard and also urged to take lawful action against those who are allegedly involved in such malpractices, a release added.
The public representatives under the block claimed that they people had initiated such malpractices against the BDO as well as other public representatives in social media because BDO as well as other public representatives had not given them any opportunity to be siphoned off the Government money without any work under MGNREGA scheme.
