Dead body recovered under bridge at Margherita

MARGHERITA, Oct 10: On Monday morning, a body was found hanging near NH 315 bridge in New Colony, near Satsang Vihar under Margherita police station of Tinsukia district.

The dead body which was found hanging under a bridge was identified as Ashu Adhikary, a resident of Missionpara, Margherita.

Margherita police rushed to the spot and took the body under its custody.

However, it is still under speculation whether the the deceased committed suicide or was it a homicide.

“The cause of the incident will be revealed only after the post-mortem report,” said Pratap Gogoi, officer in-charge of Margherita police station.
