DEMOW, Oct 23: State Tourism minister Jayanta Malla Barua campaigned for Deori Autonomous Council poll which will be held in 5 no Tengapani constituency, 6 no Kotiyori constituency and 7 no Rajabari constituency of Thowra constituency on November 8.
An election campaign meeting was organised in the Singiyani Cultural auditorium on Saturday where state Tourism minister Jayanta Malla Barua campaigned for Hiranjit Bireswar Deori, Bhaben Deori and Bhirab Deori. Hiranjit Bireswar Deori, a candidate of BJP will contest from 6 no Kotiyori constituency, Bhaben Deori, a candidate of AGP will contest from 5 no Tengapani constituency and Bhirab Deori of BJP will contest from Rajabari constituency.
Mayur Borgohain, president of BJP of Sivasagar district presided over the meeting.
Jayanta Malla Barua, state Tourism minister said that the BJP and its alliance partner AGP will win in 22 constituencies of the state adding that they “will win these three seats with a big margin”.
Tapan Kumar Gogoi, MP; Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of Thowra constituency; Kushal Dowari, former MLA of Thowra constituency; Chakradhar Gogoi, Moran MLA along with other BJP and AGP leaders were present in the election campaign meeting on Saturday.
