MORIGAON, Oct 25: Two members of Bir Lachit Sena of Morigaon district committee came under public scrutiny for allegedly demanding money from a dumper driver on Monday evening at Baghara.
According to information, a group of Bir Lachit Sena stopped a dumper and demanded money from the driver at Baghara. As the driver refused to pay the money, the group of Bir Lachit Sena started to threaten him. The driver of the dumper was at a loss and immediately shouted for help. Then the local public gathered on the spot and caught the two members of Bir Lachit Sena – Biswajit Bora and Hemanta Das and handed them over to police.
On the other hand, the other members of the organisation fled from the spot under cover of darkness as the situation became tense.
