UPPL president Pramod Boro visits Jougalu Fwthar in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Nov 2: United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president and Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member (CEM) Pramod Boro visited the Jougalu Fwthar, Chandrapara in Kokrajhar to take stock about the preparation and arrangements for holding the 3rd Triennial conference of UPPL party scheduled to begin from November 11 with a three-day long programme.
Notably, a strong reception committee for the conference so far was formed to conduct the party’s conference smoothly with Kokrajhar East LAC MLA, Lawrence Islary as chairman and BTR MCLA, Madhab Chetry as chief convenor and along with various sub committees.
Party workers, reception committee and sub-committees’ office bearers are seen busy in their respective preparation and arrangements scheduled.
During the visit, Boro was accompanied by the reception committee (RC) chief convenor and BTR MCLA, Madhab Chetry and BTR executive member Dr Nilut Swargiary.
The UPPL president inspected all corners of the conference venue including the proposed main gate of the conference venue and appealed to all party workers to render dedicatedly services to make the party’s conference a success.
He also held an interaction with party workers, reception committee official members as well local peoples regarding the holding the party conference in a grand manner.
He said that the party conference will be witnessed with a grand gathering of party workers and well-wishers who will be participating from different districts of Bodoland Territorial Region.
He said that the party will have several rounds of delegate meetings where deep discussion will be held on various issues and developmental aspects.
Nearly 7000 delegates from different districts of Bodoland Territorial Region are participating in the delegate meeting.
A grand cultural showcase and rally will also be carried out representing different castes, creeds and communities across the BTR districts.
Several competition programmes like games & sports, literary, marathon race, exhibitions will also be organised to attract the conference.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will attend as chief guest on the open session of the concluding day of the conference on November 13.
Assam state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, Asom Gana Parishad president and Assam cabinet minister Atul Bora will attend as special guests in the event.
