SIVASAGAR, Nov 4: Minister of Tourism and Public Health Engineering, Jayanta Mallabaruah took stock of the Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Mission (RJJM) schemes in the Sivasagar district on Friday. Besides giving instructions to the Tourism department to complete the ongoing projects within the month, he also met the departmental officers in a meeting in Sukapha Bhawan in presence of minister of Revenue & Disaster Management Jogen Mohan; MLA Thowra LAC Sushanta Borgohain; Excise commissioner Rakesh Agarwala; Sivasagar DC Aditya Vikram Yadav IAS; ADC Karmadev Brahma; ADC Bitupon Neog, and BJP’s district president Mayur Borgohain.
The minister said that even the NGOs will now be engaged in field inspection works of Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Mission in the district.
He directed the concerned officers to submit all relevant information on a day-to-day basis.
The minister also discussed matters related to the tourism projects like the massive upgradation works in Charaideo for the UNESCO tag, and the projects under Sivasagar Iconic City Declaration.
