DIMAPUR, Nov 12 (NNN): The Naga Hoho (NH) said recently that it was saddened by the “unfortunate incident that took place between Lamhainamdi village of Peren district and Kiyevi village of Chumukedima district of Nagaland on November 7, 2022”.
The Naga Hoho said it strongly believes that any dispute can be mutually resolved through peaceful means. The Naga body said that, through violence, there is no means to resolve any differences but only leads to further destruction and loss of lives.
The Naga Hoho then said that there has been a long pending issue between the two villages which needs to be resolved amicably through Nagas traditional way. The Hoho appealed to both the groups to let good understanding prevail in a Christian principle so as a permanent relationship can be restored as good neighbors.
“At a time when every Naga is awaiting for a peaceful political solution, there should be no misunderstanding or hatred among the family members but strengthen the bond of brotherhood,” the Naga Hoho added.
The Naga Hoho then called upon the State Government to immediately initiate dialogue with the two confronting parties and resolve in a peaceful way.
“There should not be further recurrence of such unwanted situation in the future,” it further added.
