LED van roadshow flagged off

GUWAHATI, Nov 18: Additional chief secretary and agriculture production commissioner & chairman – ARIAS Society, Dr Ashish Kumar Bhutani, IAS, flagged off a LED van roadshow along with Anant Lal Gyani, IAS, secretary, Agriculture and Triranga Bharatiya Borah, director of Horticulture & FP Assam on Friday.
Officials from the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture and the ARIAS Society were also present during the flagging-off ceremony.
The LED Van Roadshow will cover ten districts under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) – Kamrup, Nalbari, Barpeta, Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat.
The roadshow will travel across the blocks of each of these districts. Videos on the different initiatives under APART will be screened in the LED vans, along with distribution of informative leaflets on African Swine Fever, fish nutrition, etc. APART plans to take up a similar initiative in all APART districts.
This outreach initiative under APART aims to disseminate the activities undertaken by the project, educate and capacitate the farmers towards a better agriculture ecosystem.
