Parade held for Lachit Divas

GUWAHATI, Nov 19: Women contingents, canine squad and band team of Sashastra Seema Bal, Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati participated and graced the occasion at the parade held on Friday at Veterinary Ground, Khanapara, Guwahati, to commemorate the 400th birth anniversary of Ahom general Lachit Borphukan.
On the occasion, chief guest Harmeet Singh, commissioner of police, Assam Police inspected the parade. It was followed by a short theatrical adaptation on the life of Lachit Borphukan.
Senior officers of Army, Air Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Force, Central Industrial Security Force and Assam Police were also present on the occasion.
