Tarun Gogoi remembered on second death anniversary

JORHAT, Nov 23: A bust of former chief minister of Assam late Tarun Gogoi was unveiled at the Congress party office at Titabar in the district, on the occasion of the second death anniversary of Gogoi, on Wednesday.
A public shraddhanjali was organised in which ‘naam prasanga’ was rendered in which the late chief minister’s son Gaurav Gogoi, the Kaliabor Lok Sabha and his mother Dolly Gogoi attended along with Titabar MLA Bhaskar Jyoti Baruah and other party leaders and workers.
Tributes were paid to the former CM, who represented Titabar assembly seat four times in a row.
Gaurav Gogoi and others recalled the contribution of Tarun Gogoi towards the progress of the state and the party.
Meanwhile, a public shraddhanjali programme was also organised by Gaurav Gogoi Fans Club in the Millenium Park to pay homage to the former leader.
