Excise raid at various places of Tinsukia

MARGHERITA, Nov 29: Margherita and Digboi excise party at Powai Centre, Digboi Chariali, Tingrai and Tingrai station, under Digboi police station of Tinsukia district conducted a joint excise search, patrolling and raid on Monday night.
A total of 4 cases were detected and 9.10 BL of beer and IMFL 4.32 BL (for sale in Arunachal Pradesh), IMFL 2.52 BL (for sale in Assam), illicit distilled liquor 10 litres (approx.) were seized and destroyed.
Two persons were also apprehended under Section 61 (B)(a) of Assam Excise Act 2000 (as amended) during the raid.
