Five thieves arrested in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, Nov 29: Sivasagar Police arrested five thieves from different part of the sub-division for their involvement in several theft cases, extortion, and allegations of illegally acquiring properties on Monday.
As directed by Sivasagar SP Subhrajyoti Bora, the OC of Sivasgar PS Jugal Kishore Kalita arrested Rahul Khanikar of Darikapar and Nayanjyoti Das of Jaysagar. Ankur Das was arrested by Gaurisahar police.
Two others with criminal records were also apprehended from their residences by police.
The thieves were sent to Sivasagar Jail after they were produced before the Magistrate on Tuesday morning.
