FIR lodged against Badruddin Ajmal

DIPHU, Dec 6: The BJP, East Karbi Anglong District Committee (EKADC) has lodged an FIR in Diphu police station against the president of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), Badruddin Ajmal on his statement on women.

The president of BJP, EKADC, Roland Killing said, “We have lodged an FIR in Diphu police station. On December 2, Badruddin Ajmal, MP of AIUDF and President of AIUDF gave a degrading statement on women. He also spoke on the CM of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. We have lodged an FIR against him. We demand that he be arrested as soon as possible in accordance with law.”

Last Friday, the president of AIUDF said that “Muslim men marry at the age of 20-22 while Muslim women marry at 18 as stipulated by the government. However (Hindus) have one, two or three illegal wives before marriage. They don’t give birth to babies to save costs.”

He also said that Hindus should get their children married at an early age.
