Executive meeting of Biswanath AAGSU held

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Dec 26: The extended executive meeting of Biswanath district All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU) was held with Sunil Sutar, president of Biswanath AAGSU in the chair on Sunday in the conference hall of Dakhin Nagsankar High School near here.
Prakash Khanal, secretary of the students’ union explained the objectives of the meeting wherein a number of organisational resolutions were adopted. The meeting was attended by Dilip Gajurel, central vice president of the organisation besides the representatives of twelve regional committees under Biswanath AAGSU.
Notably, the district committee will organise the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Dalbir Singh Lohar on January 26 next year besides inauguration of the permanent office building of the organisation.
At the end of the meeting, the students’ body visited Samar Dalani residence of Purna Kumar Sarma, who has been named for the Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize for 2022 and felicitated him with a gamosa and Gorkha cap.
