Biographical novel on Hemanga Biswas released in Tezpur

TEZPUR, Dec 30: ‘Suramar Ganga Chiloni’ – a biographical novel on Hemanga Biswas penned by noted author Dr Bhupen Saikia, former principal of Birinchi Kumar Barooah College was released officially on Thursday in Tezpur.
The 323 page novel was published by Katha, an eminent publishing house of the state. The book was formally released by Mahendra Kumar Nath, Asam Sahitya Sabha central body member and Pankaj Barua, publicity convenor of Asam Sahitya Sabha along with senior journalist Raj Kumar Mahanta social activist Dulal Goswami, Bhupen Katoky and young literary activist Aditya Ankur Nath. The author’s effort of sketching the life of such a notable figure in novel form was highly lauded by everyone present in the solemn function. Author Dr Bhupen Saikia briefed the story behind the creation of the novel.
