Deals worth Rs 196 crore in funding startups signed at IIIE Conclave

KOLKATA, Jan 29 (PTI): Deals worth Rs 196 crore in funding startups were signed at the India Innovation Impact & Entrepreneurship Conclave (IIIE Conclave), a major event for startups and traditional businesses, according to organisers.

There were a total of 58 unique pitches from the startups and eight equity investments.

“A total of Rs 116 crore in equity and Rs 80 crore in debt have been pledged till now in the startups,” a statement said here.

The conclave at the Bengal Global Trade Expo provided access to funding opportunities, a platform for investor-investee relationship, and boosted job opportunities for aspirants.

Angel investors like Gautam Sivaramakrishnan from Blume Ventures, Gautam Vamshi, a start-up investor, and Sayed T Husain, executive director of JP Morgan Chase & Co., were present during the concluding session here.
