GUWAHATI, Feb 7: The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) hosted the 6th edition of the emerging North East exhibition kick-started at Guwahati amid much funfair. Bimal Borah, minister, department of Industries and Commerce, government of Assam; Dr Lakshman S, IAS, industry secretary; ML Srivastava, IFS, additional chief secretary, department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, government of Tripura; among others were present in the inaugural session.
The advancement in infrastructure, network and connection, finances, and resources are the highlights of the round tables, conferences, learning sessions, and exhibitions. The conference is the pathway to facilitate investments and partnerships, enhancing competitiveness and accelerating growth.
The main focus of the exhibition cum conference is to be on the promotion and progression of natural resources such as medicinal plants, handicrafts, agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, food processing, logistics, and warehousing, renewables, as well as the contribution from state/central agencies/institutions, development schemes, financial schemes for entrepreneurs, and expansion of industrial parks, special zone, industrial infrastructure of the region for better state entrepreneurs networking, B2B, B2G, and exhibition.
