Timber Recovered In Karbi Anglong

BOKAJAN: Illegal sawn timber stored in a forested area was recovered by forest officials in Karbi Anglong.

The forest officials under Silonijan Range, Deopani Beat Forest recovered the illegal sawn timber in Arnam Langpi or Upper Deopani in Karbi Anglong. The forest officials were on patrol when they came upon the illegal timber.

Beat officer, Rajesh Lekthe said that the timber is Tita Chap, about 50 cft and worth Rs 40,000. The officer also requested the people of Karbi Anglong not to cut down trees.
