DIPHU, May 10: The Diphu Municipal Board (DMB), in an order on Monday, has asked all fast food sellers with stalls in front of Town Police Outpost to shift to Fish Market Road within two days from the issue of the order.
It is seen that with more than 20 fast food stalls in front of Town Police Outpost, the stretch of road gets narrowed which creates conveniences. The two, three and four wheelers have a narrow space to pass through creating traffic jams. Secondly, as the food stalls are put-up in the open space and heavy traffic is inviting dust to sit on the food.
In an order by DMB, “As per resolution no 2 of the meeting held on April 24, 2023 at the chamber of Hon’ble chairman, Diphu Municipal Board regarding road safety in the district. The authority of DMB directed you to shift your stall from MG Road in front of Town Police Outpost to Fish Market Road within two days from the date of issue of this letter.”
At Diphu market many of the owners of the fast food stalls agree to the order of DMB, while few others are reluctant to shift their stalls selected by the DMB citing that it is too narrow and some are worried as to where to shift their stalls.
