DIBRUGARH, May 12: Toastmasters Club of Dibrugarh hosted a special session on the theme ‘Communicate To Lead’ on Thursday at Gymkhana club in Dibrugarh.
The highlight of the event was the presence of international head DTM Gauti Sheshadri and Ted X speaker and author of an Amazon bestseller, Nilim Sonowal as keynote speakers.
The event began with a motivating speech by the president of the organisation TM Trisha Chaudhary, who also welcomed the guests in her opening address.
DTM Gauri in her eloquent speech about the true meaning and qualities of a leader, offered practical tips on how one should take up leadership roles more than anything to change lives.
Nilim Sonowal left a lasting impression on the audience by sharing his journey from being a hesitant introvert to becoming a TED X speaker and a bestselling author.
A panel discussion with the guests was moderated by TM Nishant Ajitsaria followed by the speeches.
TM Suchitra Varma presented an impactful speech about the perils of breast cancer in her speech, The Pink Ribbon and emphasised the need for awareness about the same.
The event was held at the Gymkhana Club and was attended by Toastmasters, various dignitaries, guests from across the town and media personnel.
TM Ankit Gadodia hosted the entire evening with much-appreciated effervescence.
A felicitation ceremony in honour of the special guests ensued after a fun-filled impromptu speech and evaluation session.
