YINGKIONG, Nov 2: The Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS), Yingkiong Unit organised a Farewell-cum-Oath Taking Ceremony at its newly inaugurated office in Yingkiong.
Deputy Commissioner of Upper Siang, Talo Jerang attended as Chief Guest and lauded the outgoing team for their dedication while urging the newly elected president, Kasimang Jopir Pazing and her team to work with unity and sincerity for women’s empowerment in the district.
JMFC cum Civil Judge (Jr Div) Yingkiong, Epi Kapu administered the oath to the new president and executive members, emphasising their responsibility to uplift women and ensure their welfare. She encouraged members to act as a “needle that connects everyone, not like scissors that divide.”
President Kasimang Jopir Pazing introduced her 30-plus member team, representing various sectors including health, legal, senior advisory and youth and assured dedication to protecting the rights and welfare of women and children in Upper Siang.
Outgoing president Kalpana Perme Sitek shared her tenure’s highlights and extended best wishes to the new team, pledging her continued support.
The program featured the oath-taking ceremony, felicitations, APWWS theme song and cultural performances. The event was welcomed by general secretary Oseng Taron and the vote of thanks was proposed by vice president Nepang Siboh Lipir.
