Arunachal Agri minister inspects farmer’s hub in Naharlagun

NAHARLAGUN, Sept 13: Agriculture and Allied Minister Gabriel Denwang Wangsu on Friday visited the Directorate of Agriculture campus at Naharlagun and inspected the ongoing construction of the State Level Agricultural Information Hub cum Farmer’s Hotel.

Speaking to the media, the Minister described the project as an important initiative for the welfare of the state’s farming community.

He said that farmers visiting the state capital for meetings and training sessions previously lacked adequate facilities, and the government has now decided to build infrastructure that provides all necessary amenities.

“I visited the Directorate of Agriculture campus in D Sector, Naharlagun, and reviewed the project. Most of the work has been completed, and the finishing touches are underway. Once completed, the building will be inaugurated and dedicated for the holistic benefit of the farming community and the department,” the minister added.

Describing the project as much-awaited and significant, minister Wangsu expressed his excitement at witnessing its progress.

“This facility will serve as a comprehensive resource center for farmers by providing valuable agricultural information, training opportunities, and comfortable accommodation for visiting farmers,” he said.

Director of Agriculture T D Nekam and other senior officials were present during the inspection and later held discussions on various issues related to the project and other departmental concerns.
