According to an official statement, Moyong was welcomed by a large gathering of party workers, women’s groups and members of the public.

The programme was attended by several senior leaders including Jonya Basar, district president of BJP Lepa Rada; Mutchu Mithi, MLA and chief spokesperson of BJP Arunachal Pradesh; Tojir Kadu, MLA of Nari-Koyu constituency; Nyibi Dirchi, MLA of Basar; Higam Loyi Angom, state vice president of BJP; Taring Tiri, state secretary of BJP; Gumsen Lollen, state president of Kishan Morcha; and Dolang Tako, convenor of the BJP media cell.

In his keynote address, Moyong expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and urged karyakartas to work with renewed dedication to strengthen the organisation at the booth and district levels.

He referred to the recently held state-level workshop for Mandal and district presidents, MLAs, state office bearers, chairmen and vice presidents, where the need for closer coordination between elected representatives and grassroots workers was underlined.

Reiterating that the BJP is “a party with a difference,” Moyong called on party cadres to align their work with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chief minister Pema Khandu, union minister Kiren Rijiju and local MLA Nyibi Dirchi.

He highlighted the progress made in the state’s health sector, recalling how earlier people had to depend on neighbouring Assam for treatment, while today facilities like TRIHMS and upgraded district hospitals have transformed healthcare delivery in Arunachal Pradesh.

The state BJP chief also urged workers to engage with retired officials, NGOs and the business community to further strengthen booth-level activities.

Stressing the importance of grassroots outreach, he called for door-to-door contact campaigns to secure a strong mandate in the upcoming Panchayat elections.

He also informed the gathering about the formation of new Morcha teams to energise the party organisation across the state.

Chief spokesperson Mutchu Mithi, addressing the function, commended the Lepa Rada district unit for the warm reception.

He pointed to the infrastructural transformation brought about under the BJP government, noting that regions like Roing and Basar, once difficult to access, now benefit from extensive road connectivity built during the tenure of the Pema Khandu-led government.

Mithi expressed confidence that Moyong’s leadership would ensure the party’s reach across every corner of Arunachal Pradesh and among all communities.

The district-level function, marked by addresses from MLAs Nyibi Dirchi and Tojir Kadu, ended with renewed calls from the leadership to expand the party’s base and consolidate support at the grassroots ahead of upcoming elections.
