NAMSAI, June 19: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arunachal Pradesh State President Kaling Moyong, during his ongoing outreach in the western belt of the state, addressed a day-long Karyakarta Sammelan (party workers’ meet) at Seppa in East Kameng district.

According to an official statement, Moyong urged party workers and local leaders to actively engage with rural communities and raise awareness about the numerous centrally and state-sponsored welfare schemes available to the public.

Addressing the gathering, Moyong emphasised that the core strength of the BJP lies in its grassroots presence. He underlined the crucial role of karyakartas in acting as a bridge between the government and the people, particularly those living in remote and underdeveloped areas.

“The BJP is a party with a difference. Our karyakartas have a great responsibility—not just as political workers, but as ambassadors of development. It is their duty to reach the last person in the queue and ensure that every eligible citizen benefits from the various welfare schemes,” Moyong stated.

On the second day of his tour of western Arunachal Pradesh, the state BJP chief reiterated the importance of taking the party’s ideology of service, sincerity, and commitment to the grassroots level.

“As members of the world’s largest political party, every BJP worker must uphold the values of dedication and contribute to the development of the area and the upliftment of its people,” he said.

Highlighting the priorities of both the central and state governments, Moyong stated that the focus remains firmly on infrastructure and human development, with emphasis on road, rail, air connectivity, health services, education, and community welfare.

He credited the seamless collaboration between the Centre and the state for the progress made across Arunachal Pradesh, particularly under the “Pan Arunachal” and “Team Arunachal” vision championed by the BJP.

Referring to the recent first-year anniversary of the Pema Khandu-led government, Moyong said the milestone is a testament to the combined efforts of party workers and government representatives across the state.

“It is a matter of pride for every BJP worker that the third term of the central government and the successful continuation of the Khandu government in the state have translated into meaningful development outcomes on the ground,” he said.

Looking ahead to the upcoming local body elections, Moyong called upon all party mandals and district units to nominate candidates who are honest, hardworking, and committed to the BJP’s development-oriented vision.

“This is an opportunity to further strengthen the grassroots leadership of the party. We should also encourage more participation of women candidates in the local elections,” he added.

The state BJP president expressed gratitude to the party leaders and workers in East Kameng for the warm reception accorded to him.

He called for continued cooperation and dedication to ensure the party’s message reaches every household.

Among those who addressed the gathering were MLAs Ealing Tallang and Hayeng Mangfi, Arunachal Pradesh Biodiversity Board Chairman Hawa Bagang, BJP State Secretary Ashok Sangchuju, East Kameng District BJP President Moik Bagang, former ZPC Doba Lamio, District General Secretary Arjun Flago, Vice President Bagiram Rang, and Convenor Taya Bagang. The meeting also featured a presentation of the East Kameng Mandal’s activity report by its President.

The event was seen as a reaffirmation of the BJP’s commitment to deepening its organisational structure and enhancing public outreach in the far-flung areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
