20th Foundation Day of Madrasa Islamia Misbahul Uloom celebrated

MARGHERITA, Oct 7: The 20th Foundation Day of Madrasa Islamia Misbahul Uloom was celebrated on Friday at its premises situated at Bibi Mazhaar, Namdang under 124 No Margherita constituency of Tinsukia district.
An open session was organised where Taufik Khan, president of the reception committee, delivered the aims and objectives of the programme. Taufik Khan said, “In the year 1956, for the first time in Tinsukia district at Digboi Duliajan road, a madrasa was built where many students came to study. Eventually in the year 1984, another madrasa was built at Lekhapani, and in the year 1987, at Tinsukia and finally in the year 2002, a madrasa was built at Bibi Mazhaar Namdang, Margherita.”
After that, students and teacher of Madrasa Islamia Misbahul Uloom sang the national song which enthralled the attendees.
“Ajit Singh, senior teacher of Gandhi Vidya Mandir High School, Margherita; Anand Kumar Sharma, chairman of Margherita Municipal Board and Ram Prasad Ambedkar, veteran journalist of Margherita gave information and ideas to build madrasa in Margherita region. We are thankful to them,” said Taufik Khan.
“There are a total of 53 students with 7 teachers at Madrasa Islamia Misbahul Uloom. All the students are improving a lot after getting a better education which is free of cost and which also includes fooding and lodging,” said Taufik Khan.
The open session was presided by Nasiruddin Ahmed, founder secretary of Madrasa Islamia Misbahul Uloom where Palash Rajkumar Ahom ADC (i/c) of Margherita Administration (Civil); Kailash Kumar Gupta, president of All Assam Bhojpuri Parishad of Central Committee; Anand Kumar Sharma, chairman of Margherita Municipal Board; Ram Prasad Ambedkar, headmaster of Adarsh Hindi Vidya School, Bargolai and advisor of Margherita Journalists Association; noted industrialist and social worker of Margherita, Md Jewel Ali; Margherita Gandhi Vidya Mandir High School teacher, Ajit Kumar Singh and more than 100 minority people of Margherita region were present at the open session programme.
Kailash Kumar Gupta said that madrasa and school is the place where we create human resources for our society and nation.
Palash Rajkumar Ahom said, “Madrasa Islamia Misbahul Uloom is the best example of education at Margherita constituency due to the punctuality, manners and discipline among the students. For any development work of this Madrasa, I will talk with the counterparts of Assam Government.”
Taufik Khan, president of the reception committee gave a vote of thanks to all the chief guests and present persons at the end of the programme.
