31st BN SSB organises drawing competition in Gossaigaon

GOSSAIGAON, Aug 10: The 31st Battalion of SSB in collaboration with Birangona NGO keeping at par with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ for completing 75 years of Independence with the theme ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ organised a drawing competition at Gossaigaon Higher Secondary School on Monday.
The drawing competition was chaired by Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, commandant of 31st Bn SSB. Altogether 45 girls, 54 boys from 14 different schools within Gossaigaon sub-division participated in the competition. The students were divided into groups A and B to conduct the drawing competition smoothly. The students who performed best were awarded.
On the occasion, Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, commandant, 31st BN SSB made the students aware about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and encouraged the students to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it proudly to mark the 75th year of Independence. During the programme, around 500 flags were distributed among the students and local residents of Gossaigaon by the soldiers of 31st Battalion of SSB.
