MARGHERITA, Dec 13: All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Parishad (AAJYP) demanded Rs 10,000 unemployed allowance per month for 29 lakh unemployed people of Assam at the representative meeting of the Tinsukia district committee of All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad held at the Asom Sahitya Sabha Bhawan established in the historic city of Tinsukia on Tuesday.
All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AAJYP) central committee president Ramen Chowdhury presided over the delegation meeting.
More than two hundred representatives from different parts of Tinsukia district participated in the meeting.
Sandeep Prasad Neog, general secretary, All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad, Dimb Bania, assistant secretary, Santosh Kumar Phukan, finance secretary, Basanta Kalita and many other senior members and dignitaries and resource persons were present as special guests in the meeting.
In addition to extensive discussions on the organisational aspects of the new committee and local issues were also discussed as well.
At the meeting, All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad central committee president Ramen Chowdhury condemned the ragging incident at Dibrugarh University.
Sandeep Prasad Neog, general secretary AAJYP central committee demanded that the government must give Rs 10,000 unemployment allowance per month to the 29 lakh unemployed youth of Assam.
A 31 members committee of All Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AAJYP) Tinsukia district committee was also formed with Sanjib Borah as president, Harun Khan as working president, Pradip Das, Kukil Gogoi, Rakesh Chetia and Achyut Gogoi as vice president, Mithun Boruah as general secretary, Pinku Bora and Divya Changmai as assistant secretary, Debraj Neog, Pawan Das, Dibyajyoti Gogoi and Anup Singh as organising secretary, Shubranjan Dibruwal as literature education secretary, Bhaiti Ali, Bhai Shresta Kamal Prasad Koiri as publicity secretary and Montu Maut as finance secretary.
