Achievements of ‘Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @ 2047’ highlighted

DIPHU, July 26: In keeping with the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence the ministry of Power and MNRE are organising events to highlight the key achievements of the power sector under the umbrella of “Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @ 2047” in collaboration between the state and the Central Government.
Accordingly, APDCL, KANCH Electrical Circle, and the district administration of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong are organising events to commemorate the occasion. Events have been planned on July 27 at Taralangso (W) Longki Ronghang (Lumbajong Sarpo), Diphu and on July 29 at Bongrong Bosti, Khatkhati.
In Karbi Anglong District, 2952 villages/ habitations have been electrified under DDUGJY New Scheme. Under this scheme, 733 of transformers have been installed, 11 KV line of 1133.922 KM and LT line of 1796.512 KM have been constructed and 49157 households (On Grid and Off Grid) have benefitted in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong district.
And in the SAUBHAGYA Scheme, 1450 + 252 villages/ habitations have been electrified. Under this scheme, 259 transformers have been installed, 11 KV line of 302.83 KM and LT line of 489.73 KM have been constructed and 55852+8139 households (On Grid and Off Grid) have been benefited in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong district.
