NAGAON, Dec 30: ACTA Research and Innovation Award 2022 was ceremonially presented to Dr Bhuban Chandra Chutia, assistant professor, department of Zoology, Nowgong College, for his research contribution and innovation in Ericulture. Dr Chutia created a visible impact on the society through economic upliftment of the women of various villages of Morigaon and Nagaon district respectively by means of his innovation and research initiatives.
The award was presented to Dr Chutia in the open session of the 67th annual session of Assam College Teachers’ Association held at North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) on Friday. The award carries a cash of Rs 1 lakh, a memento and an appraisal letter.
While addressing the occasion after receiving the award, Dr Chutia expressed his gratitude to ACTA as well as the fraternity of Nowgong College.
