The incident reportedly took place on the evening of June 27 in the vicinity of Dholeshwari point in Hailakandi, Assam. Choudhury was accused of causing damage to a vehicle and engaging in a physical confrontation with Ataur Rahman Laskar, a member of the opposing BJP party.
