ASOCA conducts inspection of sali paddy seed production program

GUWAHATI, July 14: Under the leadership of Mowsam Hazarika, director of Assam Seed and Organic Certification Agency (ASOCA), a team from the Agency carried out an inspection of the Sali Paddy Seed Production Program for the year 2023-24. The program, implemented by Manikpur Joha Rice Producer Company in Bongaigaon, was examined at Dompara village. Accompanying Mowsam Hazarika were Mamani Hazarika, STO; Naba Jyoti Dutta ASCO; Shyamal Jyoti Mahanta, ASCO; Gunajeet Deuri, ASCO; and Khwmdwn Gayary, ASCO.

During the inspection, the team also visited the seed processing plant of Nilanchal Agri Science LLP Ltd. situated in Howly, Barpeta. Additionally, they conducted an examination of the paddy field belonging to Gajiur Rahman, a progressive seed grower from Bongaigaon district.
