Assam CM to inaugurate developmental schemes in Biswanath today

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Dec 9: The umbrella project ‘Bikakhar Babe Eta Pokhek’ scheme will be implemented in 11 districts of the state. The state chief minister will attend two public meetings in Biswanath district on Saturday. The CM will lay the foundation stone of 14 development projects covering all the assembly constituencies of Biswanath district at a cost of Rs 388.99 crore through digital media and inaugurate two projects on Saturday. He will also address a public gathering at Kamalakanta Khetra here.
The chief minister will lay the foundation stone of 10 ambitious schemes to be implemented in this historical district namely Biswanath District Integrated Commissioner’s Office, Biswanath District Circuit House, proposed District Sports Project at Biswanath Chariali. He will also lay the foundation stone of the new Assam Police Battalion at Diring, Pabhoi, 8 km road and embankment from Biswanath Ghat to Panpur, Government Polytechnic Institute and Industrial Training Institute upgradation project at Sootea. He will also lay the foundation stone of the modernisation and development project of Dekorai wholesale market under Sootea Legislative Assembly constituency. Foundation stone of 5 km road from NH-15 to Pahukata and 5 km road from NH-15 to Amdoiguri, erosion protection project on Solengi river and reconstruction of other affected areas.
The chief minister will lay the foundation stone of these ambitious schemes in Behali constituency at the second huge public meeting to be held at Janata Bakori, Bedeti under Behali constituency at 1 pm on the same day. He will lay the foundation stone of Behali Mini Stadium, Maran village, Nasbar road, and the upgradation project of Government Polytechnic Institute and Industrial Training Institute in Behali. He will also inaugurate two projects which are already completed, the newly constructed Sadbhavana Bhawan in Behali and an auditorium inside the premises of Behali Development Block respectively.
The two meetings will be attended by the Guardian minister of Biswanath Pijush Hazarika, Tezpur Lok Sabha MP Pallab Lochan Das and Biswanath district MLAs Pramod Barthakur, Ranjit Dutta, Padma Hazarika and Utpal Bora respectively.
It is worth mentioning that the foundation stone of 14 ambitious projects and the inauguration of two projects simultaneously in Biswanath district is considered to be a rare event in the history of the state.
