Assam: Decomposed Body Found Under Dokmoka Police Station

HOWRAGHAT, May 7: The decomposed body of a woman was discovered on Saturday morning at 9 am by locals by the bank of a river under Dokmoka police station.

The body was found by the bank of the Sargathi River flowing by the village of Khejur in Dokmoka and has been identified as that of 21 year old Priyanka Lohar, wife of Sonu Lohar of the Khejur village. The police were informed who took the body for post mortem report to Diphu Medical College & Hospital.

According to the villagers, last Monday the couple had a fight, after which Priyanka went missing. The husband Sonu Lohar has been taken into custody by the police for interrogation.
