Assam: Farewell meeting held for 8 gaon pradhans

DEMOW, Sept 9: A farewell meeting was organised by Demow Revenue Circle Gaon Pradhan Committee in the Gaon Pradhan Bhawan on Thursday where 8 gaon pradhans who are above 65 years were given farewell.
Nabajit Barua, president of Demow Revenue Circle Gaon Pradhan Committee presided over the meeting and Diganta Tai Borah, secretary of Demow Revenue Circle Gaon Pradhan Committee spoke about the aims of the meeting.
The retired gaon pradhans were felicitated with a fulam gamosa, cheleng chadar, citation and a Kirtan Ghosha book.
Phyllis Hrangchal, circle officer of Demow Revenue Circle, Mary V Ralsun, circle officer (A) of Demow Revenue Circle, Sunit Gogoi, vice-president of All Assam Gaon Pradhan Association, Gyanranjan Bezbarua, organising secretary were present in the programme as special chief guests.
