Assam: Guwahati University professor accused of brutally torturing minor domestic help

Guwahati, Sept 29: In yet another shocker, a Gauhati University Assistant Professor has been accused of brutally torturing a minor domestic help for the past two and half years.

The incident has been reportedly taken place at Piya Exotica, one of the spacious housing societies in Kahilipara.

The minor victim aged 10 years, hails from Umrangso in Dima Hasao district in the state of Assam.

As per reports, the child was brutally assaulted, tortured and abused by Prof. Dr Sabina Langthasa.

Meanwhile a case has been lodged against the professor at Bhagaduttapur Police Outpost in Kahilipara.

This is yet another case of child abuse right after Dr Sangeeta Datta and Dr Waliul Islam were accused of child abuse earlier this year.
