The chief minister will light the Swahid Pranam Jyoti, the eternal flame at the memorial complex, while AASU leaders are expected to join the tribute.

Earlier, the chief minister urged households to light lamps and sing Swahid Pranamu Tumak on Dec 10 in remembrance. Officials said the memorial stands as a lasting symbol of the movement that shaped Assam’s sociopolitical landscape in the 1980s.
