MORIGAON, May 16: An awareness rally on the theme – ‘Harness Partnership to Defeat Dengue’ was taken out in keeping with the celebration of National Dengue Day on Tuesday at Jagiroad, Morigaon.
The National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control, Morigaon organised the awareness rally across the town. The rally was inaugurated by Dr Jyoti Kr Das, joint director of Health (Malaria) as well as the state project director of National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control, Assam in presence of Anand Sarma, state RBSK, consultant, NHM, and Nilotpal Bora, state IEC consultant, NCVBDC, Assam.
Moreover, a meeting on the eve of National Dengue Day was held at Nakhola Model Hospital which was attended by Dr Phani Pathak, joint DHS, Morigaon, Dr Tapan Saikia, additional CM & HO (FW), Dr Paban Pator, SDM & HO, Jhargaon, Dr D. Ronghang, deputy superintendent, Nakhola Model Hospital, Supriya Das, district malaria officer, Morigaon and Gunendra Saikia, DVBDC.
A quiz competition was also organised and the students from Nokhala Secondary School, Jagiroad participated in the competition.
