MORIGAON, Sept 19: The Ayushman Bhava campaign, aimed at promoting awareness of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), ABHA ID generation, and services related to the screening and management of non-communicable and sickle cell diseases, officially commenced in Morigaon recently. This initiative, designed to ensure the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services to every panchayat line, ultimately reaching the last mile of society, was formally announced by district commissioner Devashis Sarma during a press conference held at the DC’s conference hall. The event saw the presence of joint director of Health Dr Phani Pathak, DIPRO Pompy Devi, and DPM of NHM Zufin Sultana.
Speaking to the media, district commissioner Sarma explained that the Apke Swar 3.0 initiative involves the distribution of Prime Minister Jay cards and ABHA IDs through the diligent efforts of frontline workers, including ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, multipurpose workers, and swasthya karmis. Furthermore, Ayushman Melas will be conducted weekly at Sub-Health and Primary Health Centers (Se-HWC, PHC-HWC) and Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHC-HWC) throughout September. A total of 133 Ayushman Melas are scheduled to be organised across Morigaon. Additionally, Ayushman Sabhas will be convened in 85 Gram Panchayats and 11 urban wards within the district as part of this comprehensive healthcare initiative.
