NAGAON, May 30: Jyotsnara Begum, a woman who was involved in the vandalisation and burning of Batadrava PS finally surrendered to Nagaon police at Nagaon police station on Monday afternoon here. She was absconding since the incident and took shelter at several hideouts in the remote riverine area under Dhing PS, sources said adding that in quest of her, police intensified serial operations one after another at various places where police achieved no breakthrough in this regard.
Significantly, following the unfortunate death of Ashiqul Islam, the main mastermind behind the plan and conspiracy to arson Batadrava PS, Jyotsnara Begum came out from her hideout and surrendered to Nagaon police, sources said.
