BJP condemns killing of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha secretary

DIPHU, March 27: The BJP, under the 6-Diphu (ST) parliamentary constituency, has strongly condemned the unfortunate killing of Rowel Ronghang, son of Bilison Ronghang of Sunaram Terang village, Kakojan, under Dolamara Police Station on March 24 by unidentified miscreants in Karbi Anglong district.

The deceased Ronghang was secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha of Kakojan polling booth. The party prayed for the eternal peace of the departed and expressed grief with the bereaved family. The party urged the concerned authority to nab the culprits involved in the killing and demanded an immediate probe into the incident.

In another press statement, the BJP said the party is pleased to accept and welcome Opposition workers who have joined BJP in the presence of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) chief executive member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang; MP Horen Sing Bey; BJP-East Karbi Anglong District Committee president Roland Killing; BJP candidate from 6-Diphu (ST) parliamentary constituency and executive member KAAC, Amarsing Tisso, and other dignitaries. The joining program was held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, BJP-EKADC office here.

535 workers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as of March 24, 282 Opposition workers on March 25, and 20 Opposition workers from the APHLC have joined the BJP.

Congress workers joining the BJP were led by Budheswar Urang of Borjan MAC constituency; Martin Rongphar from Dhansiri Member of Autonomous Constituency, and Gulapi Kramsapi of West Karbi Anglong.
