BJP’s 42nd Foundation Day Celebrated Across Karbi Anglong District

DIPHU, April 6: Along with rest of the country, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), East Karbi Anglong District Committee (BJP-EKADC) celebrated the 42nd foundation day of the party at its district committee office here on Wednesday.

The celebration was joined by president, BJP-EKADC Dhansing Teron; chief executive member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Tuliram Ronghang; MLA Bidyasing Engleng; executive member, KAAC Ratan Teron; chairman, Diphu Municipal Board Rah Kro and other party leaders.

The celebration started with the hoisting of party flag by president Dhansing Teron followed by the singing of the national song Vande Mataram. The CEM along with district party president Dhansing Teron and party leaders remembered former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and party founding leaders Dr. Syama Prashad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and offered flowers and prayed in front of their portraits.

On the occasion, the CEM and party leaders planted tree saplings at the district BJP office. A procession was taken out from the party office to the main road.

The district president Teron said the day is celebrated in all Mandal Committees and booth levels in Karbi Anglong to mark the occasion and in every BJP household the BJP flag is put-up.

Teron said, “It is a great day for the party to celebrate its 42nd foundation day and I extend my greetings to all party leaders and workers and pledge to work unitedly for strengthening the party.”

He also said the BJP government has worked for the welfare of the people. In Karbi Anglong also with the BJP coming to power at KAAC has witnessed change. Diphu has turned into a smart town with street lights and improved roads. People have benefited from various welfare schemes and set up a medical college. More development will come under the BJP government.
He also said during the lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic the BJP government has tried to help each and every individual by providing free rice and other essentials.

Teron informed that in Karbi Anglong there are already 55,000 members in BJP. More and more people are coming forward to enrol for party membership. He also informed that notification for conduct of KAAC election is yet to be declared and the party is prepared for it.

Teron also gave a detailed party programme to be taken up from April 7 to 20.

Later, the CEM along with district party president Teron and party workers attended the online Sthapana Diwas on party foundation day by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, the BJP also observed its 42nd foundation day in various parts of West Karbi Anglong district.

The BJP, Chingthong Mandal Committee observed the day at the residence of the Mandal President’s residence at Amterang in presence of executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Pradeep Rongpi.

Chairman of Village Defence Committee, Chinthong, Khorsing Senar, Mandal President of the BJP, Joy Sing Bongrung, president of ST Morcha, Robinson Teron and party workers.

In Bokajan LA, the party observed the day at Bokajan, Borjan, Sarupathar, Deopani, Nilip, Duarbagori and Socheng Dhenta.

The BJP, West Karbi Anglong District Committee (BJP-WKADC) observed the day at its District Committee Office at Mouzadar Gaon, West Karbi Anglong.

The president of BJP, WKADC, Radip Ronghang in his speech appreciated the worker’s discipline. He also thanked the high command for building the District Office in an open clean environment.

He directed the party members to attend the office once a day to know the latest party program.

Earlier, president Ronghang unfurled the BJP flag followed and paid floral tributes to former PM Lt Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The program was attended by member of Autonomous Council of KAAC, Chandra Br Chetry, Prabhat Ch Taro, Pawan Kr Ray, chairman of the Veterinary Development Board, Ditolal Hasnu and others.
