DIPHU, April 1: Bokajan Block Congress Committee (Bokajan BCC) in a press meet held at Bokajan on Saturday protested against the ruling BJP government at the Centre for its disqualification of its leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha. The disqualification is nothing but to suppress Gandhi and his family, the Bokajan BCC alleged.

Secretary, Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADCC), Surendra Singnar said, “With the slogan. ‘Save Democracy, Save Constitution’ we are protesting against the BJP government for its suppressive and dictatorship way of ruling the country.” By disqualifying Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha the BJP government is trying to ruin Gandhi. It is also suppressing the Congress, Singnar said.

He also said India is a democratic country, where every citizen has the right to speak and demonstrate, but the BJP is ruling the country in a dictator style. No one can speak against the government and the BJP party.

KADCC, vice president, Mensing Taro and president, Bokajan Block Congress Committee, Lokeswar Teron participated in the press meet.
