Book release at Nagaon

NAGAON, June 5: 
A book on biography of noted educationist, social activist and satradhikar of Sri Sri Kachari Juwa Satra, Chakalaghat – Lt Ghana Mohan Goswami ‘Borjona’ was ceremonially released by Thagit Mahanta, president of Nagaon Zila Sahitya Sabha at a function held at Nagaon Zila Sahitya Sabha auditorium Kamala Todi Bhavan on Sunday last.

The book was penned by Momi bhagawati Goswami, sister-in-law of Lt Ghana Mohan Goswami who is currently settled in Tezpur and published by Gangutri Prakashan, Tezpur.

During the programme, Dwijen Hazarika, president of Nagaon Zila Kobi Sanmilan and noted Assamese children litterateur Tailukya Bhattacharya spoke on life and works of Lt Ghana Mohan Goswami too. The new SP Navaneet Mahanta, former president of Nagaon Zila Sahitya Sabha, Gakul Goswami and other office bearers of Nagaon Zila Sahitya Sabha were among those who attended the programme, a release stated here.

It’s pertinent to mention here that Lt Ghana Mohan Goswami who was the principal of Chakalaghat HS School and one of the founder members of Nagaon Homeopathic College. Besides, he served Paschim Nagaon Zila Satra Mahasabha as the president for a long time.
