Brihattar Sivasagar Press Club Discusses Problems Of The Town With DC

SIVASAGAR, Sept 28: The Brihattar Sivasagar Press Club (BSPC) members on Wednesday met the deputy commissioner Sivasagar Aditya Vikram Yadav (IAS) and discussed the endemic problems of the temple township. The members led by the president Manoj Kumar Borthakur and secretary Kumar Abhijit Duwora drew the attention of the new DC to the water-logging problems, the nuisance caused by the beggars around the historic Siva Doul, swelling numbers of the slow-moving e-rickshaws and the problems of unruly bikers on road. The deputy commissioner assured the members of his sincere effort to thrash out some solutions with the cooperation of the citizens of the town.

Yadav responded positively to the BSPC petition to observe the National Press Day on November 16 with the assistance of the district administration. Yadav also assured the club members that he will personally invite internationally acclaimed writer Sanjay Hazarika as the invited speaker on National Press Day. Other members of the club that attended the meeting were Anil Gupta (executive president), Pranjal Pujari, Amrit Kumar Saikia, Prasanta Borgohain, Siva Kanta Gogoi and Nupur Saikia.
