Byatikram felicitates new president of Asam Sahitya Sabha

GUWAHATI, Dec 30: Team Byatikram felicitated the newly elected president of Asam Sahitya Sabha, Padma Shri Dr Surjya Kanta Hazarika. Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president of Byatikram MASDO along with the team members – Kaveri Sharma Baruah, Pinki Das, Disha Chowdhury and Mayuri Sharma Baruah congratulated Dr Surjya Kanta Hazarika with a bouquet of flowers, gamosa, japi and a memento.
Dr Surjya Kanta Hazarika said, “Byatikram is one of the leading socio-cultural organisations in Assam and north-east. Building and developing relations with people all around the state and country.”
“There is no doubt that Byatikram has been doing exceptional work in Bangladesh to keep Dr Bhupen Hazarika alive in the hearts of the people,” he added.
Padma Shri Surjya Kanta Hazarika also expressed the opinion of giving special importance to translation works and respecting the neighbouring literary culture in the upcoming activities of Asam Sahitya Sabha.
Dr Saumen Bharatiya said, “Under the leadership of Padma Shri Surjya Kanta Hazarika, the literary culture of Assam will develop further in the coming days. We believe that there will be better relations between the people of different communities and language groups of Assam.”
