GUWAHATI, Nov 19: Byatikram MASDO will be organising a magic show with Jadu Samrat Vikram accompanied by Jadu Rani Sushmita on December 6 at ITA Machkhowa from 6 pm onwards.
A press meet was held at Dispur Press Club on Saturday, which was attended by Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president, Byatikram MASDO; Jadu Samrat Vikram; Jadu Rani Sushmita; Alakananda Das, social activist; Amit Agarwal, social worker; Sagarika Roy and other dignitaries.
Addressing the press meet, Dr Saumen Bharatiya said, “Magic is one form of art and now-a-days, magic is nowhere to be seen performed. Thereby, the new generations are not aware of what magic is all about and in order to make the youths aware of magic and to entertain the people, we thought of hosting this magic show. We really look forward to seeing a huge gathering and seek everyone’s support in making the show a grand success and making the youths aware that magic is a form of art and can be taken as a profession.”
Jadu Samrat Vikram said, “Though I have performed magic shows at various districts of Assam, I am extremely happy that for the very first time I am going to perform a magic show in the city of Guwahati. I am very grateful to Byatikram MASDO for giving me this opportunity and platform to connect with people and make them aware that magic is an art which is beautified with the dexterity of hands and creates an illusion for eyes. I am expecting to see a huge number of people in the audience in the magic show and hope that they enjoy the show.”
Alakananda Das said, “I really appreciate the efforts taken by Byatikram to keep magic alive within the people.”
Jadu Rani Sushmita said, “I feel happy and pleased to be performing in the magic show and this is by far the best platform to show that not only men, but women too can get into the profession of magic and are capable enough to perform magic. I request everyone to come along with their family and friends and help us in promoting magic as a form of art and profession.”
Amit Agarwal said, “Byatikram is always exceptional. The organisation has been engaged and performing such social activities since the past few years and now they are taking the initiative to promote magic as a form of art among all the people and thereby, I would request everyone to come along with their families and enjoy the show.”
The program has been supported by the Guwahati Rotary Club, The Sita Centre, Shree Dayasagar Group, WICCI and Spectrum Eduventures.
