Candidates of DAC file nomination papers at Thowra

DEMOW, Oct 20: The Deori Autonomous Council poll will be held on November 8. The candidates of BJP, AGP, Congress, Raijor Dal submitted their nomination papers at the office of deputy commissioner of Sivasagar district in the presence of their supporters on Wednesday.
Before going to file the nomination papers on Wednesday, Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain gave his best wishes to the BJP and AGP candidates contesting in the Deori Autonomous Council in Thowra constituency.
In 5 No Tengapani constituency, 6 No Kotiyori constituency and 7 No Rajabari constituency of Thowra constituency, the Deori Autonomous Council poll will be held.
According to sources, Hiranjit Bireswar Deori, a candidate of BJP; Basanta Deori, a candidate of Congress; Dharmeswar Deori, a candidate of Raijor Dal; Harigobinda Deori and Hunjit Deori – Independent candidates will contest for 6 No Kotiyori constituency.
For 5 No Tengapani constituency, Bhaben Deori, a candidate of AGP; Huneswar Deori, Congress candidate will contest. For 7 No Rajabari constituency, Bhirab Deori, BJP candidate will contest and had filed his nomination paper at the office of DC of Sivasagar district on Wednesday.
Under Thowra constituency, in 5 No Tengapani constituency there are 1252 voters, in 6 No Kotiyori constituency – 1437 voters and in 7 No Rajabari constituency – 1342 voters will cast their votes this time.
