CEM Pramod Boro hoists National Flag in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 27: Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro hoisted National Flag at Kokrajhar Govt HS and MP School’s parade ground in Kokrajhar on the occasion of 74th Republic Day celebration on Thursday.
The Republic Day was organised by district administration, Kokrajhar in a befitting programme that saw huge participation in the gathering.
Boro received a guard of honour presented at a march-past by police personnel, students and contingents from different school, colleges that witnessed an attraction among the audience.
Earlier, Boro paid homage to national martyrs at Swahid Bedi.
BTR CEM Pramod Boro welcomed the announcement of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for expansion of the boundary of Bodoland Territorial Region under the spirit of BTR Peace Accord clauses.
He said that the BTR Peace Accord has been emphasised for bringing up healthy welfare and development cutting across language and communities.
He informed that all clauses of the BTR peace accord are getting implemented one after another as per the spirit of the BTR accord.
He said that the boundary expansion of BTR is a milestone for the citizens as peoples of the region celebrate with joy and sing songs to welcome the announcement. He extended thanks to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home minister Amit Shah, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for taking bold initiative to make a healthy implementation of the clauses of the BTR Peace Accord.
“Good governance and e-governance has been emphasised in BTR districts for healthy development and communication across the region,” Boro said.
